Logicor completes landmark 800,000 sq ft logistics site in Midlands

Logicor, a leading owner, manager, and developer of European logistics real estate, has completed its largest logistics development to date in the UK, comprising three state-of-the-art warehouses totalling 800,000 sq ft.  Logicor Park Daventry contains three warehouses of 385,000 sq ft, 280,000 sq ft, and 135,000 sq ft respectively.  Sustainability and location set these new units apart. The park is situated in the heart of the logistics “Golden Triangle,” providing businesses with unrivalled proximity to the UK market. Tenants of Logicor Park Daventry can reach over 51 million consumers in under three hours, and London is less than two hours drive.  This site’s central UK location has exceptional transportation links, with easy access to the M1, M40 and M45 motorways. Logistics staff are well served by public transport from Daventry town centre just 1.5 miles away,  The completion of Logicor Park Daventry is part of Logicor’s plans to deliver 1.8 million sq ft of new units in the UK in 2025. It is one of three large developments that Logicor is set to complete this year, the other two being Derby 507, which will be 507,000 sq ft, and Bolt330, which will be over 300,000 sq ft. All three developments fulfil Logicor’s strategy to deliver and manage high-quality logistics parks with easy access to critical European markets.  Charlie Howard, Logicor, UK Managing Director, said: “As our largest development in the UK so far, Daventry marks a major milestone for Logicor. Over recent years our capacity and expertise has grown rapidly, allowing us to execute some of the largest and best-located developments in the market. “Logicor Park Daventry will create long-term employment opportunities and, as a modern, sustainable development, forms part of the key logistics infrastructure that enables the flow of trade across the UK.” Logicor Park Daventry is EPC A and BREEAM Excellent rated. Each warehouse features solar photovoltaic (PV) installations, enabling the generation of renewable energy on site, while EV chargers support the use of electric vehicles. LED lighting throughout the office and external areas also enhances energy efficiency. Focusing on biodiversity and staff wellbeing, the site has an outdoor gym and 2.2 acres of peaceful woodland, with the addition of 4,500 new trees.  The completion of this facility is expected to have a substantial impact on the local economy, with the creation of approximately 1,000 jobs for local people. The warehouses will also allow expanding businesses to stay in the Midlands while increasing their capacity.  Logicor recently used the Daventry site to boost its Reach education and employability programme, working in partnership with The Talent Foundry to help raise awareness of the range of career opportunities in logistics real estate. Year 10 and 12 students who took part reported increased confidence in core skills and interest in the sector.   Further information can be found at www.logicorparkdaventry.co.uk.
